Luke creates work that emphasizes form, line, texture, and functionality. Inspired by the natural landscapes of southwest Wisconsin’s Driftless Area and early industrial blacksmithing techniques, his pieces showcase exposed joinery as an intentional design element. The cabinet fronts, rich with abstract storytelling, reflect themes of agriculture and the historical steel industry, blending craftsmanship with narrative.

Luke will provide tours of the studio and equipment. Discussion about the process of forging and the tools used will also be happening.

Parking on the side of the driveway. The studio is one level and has a flat entrance, it is wheel chair accessible.

Julie creates nature-inspired, handcrafted jewelry using copper, sterling silver, and brass. Specializing in fold-forming, she repeatedly heats, folds, and forges metal to achieve organic, sculptural designs. Her work often incorporates etching, traditional metalsmith techniques, and elements like stones, beads, or found objects. Each piece is a small wearable sculpture that celebrates the natural world.
As a photographer, Julie is driven by light—observing how it silhouettes, highlights, and reveals hidden colors in the environment. She explores nature from every angle, studying details up close to capture unique perspectives.
Continuously pushing her creative vision, Julie invites viewers to experience her work through jewelry, photography, and beyond.

During the tour, Julie will demonstrate jewelry fold-forming techniques and talk about the processes used when designing and building a piece of jewelry.

Additionally, Julie will have her photographs on display and will tell the stories behind how she captures her images.

Around the back of the house, down a small hill with a step up into the house. Visitors are welcome to walk around the prairie. Terrain around the prairie is hilly.

jangelo@jangelo.com

Jennifer is a fiber artist, and discovered wool felting while living in New Zealand, inspired by the crashing ocean waves, swaying Toitoi grass, and Merino sheep. Previously a weaver, she transitioned to felting, drawn to its rich textures and expressive possibilities. Using high-quality Australian wool, she explores traditional and contemporary techniques, incorporating inlays, prefelts, and silks to create abstract, geometric designs that invite personal interpretation. Now based in Wisconsin, Angelo is a founding member of the Madison Area Felters’ Guild and an active member of several national and international fiber arts organizations.

Philip grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania, where a love for making and fixing things took root. After serving in the Marine Corps and exploring various entrepreneurial ventures—from real estate to bamboo bike building—Philip was drawn to the strong sense of community in Washington, DC. Now based in Mount Horeb, he runs a woodworking and remodeling business focused on creative, sustainable solutions for living spaces. With an emphasis on local materials and low-waste practices, Philip’s recent work explores the relationship between the built and natural environments, including a series of rammed earth tables that highlight the beauty and potential of sustainable building materials.

During the tour, Philip will be working on a current piece and answering questions about it. He will also be talking about rammed earth, hempcrete, and other alternative building methods and how he incorporates them into furniture.

The building is at the back of the property in a field against the woods. It’s 50′ off the road and has plenty of parking. Wheel chair/handicap accessible.

Jessica has been photographing nature for 30 years, capturing landscapes, wildlife, and historic structures to evoke a sense of peace and appreciation for the natural world. She often spends hours in one spot, waiting for the perfect light, and also explores infrared photography to reveal hidden details beyond human perception. In addition to photography, she creates unique stainless steel chainmaille jewelry, incorporating natural stones, Swarovski crystals, and delicate chains. Durable and hypoallergenic, her pieces blend strength and elegance in distinctive designs.

During the tour, Jessica will be making various weaves of chainmaille jewelry and I will have my camera set up to give tips and tricks about photography.

There is room for 4 cars on my short gravel driveway and street parking available. The gravel driveway is not wheelchair accessible but my garage has a cement floor that would be fine for wheelchairs. I have no stairs to get into my garage.
