About
The MHAAA Mission: We’re here to ignite creativity and connect communities through the power of the arts. Our mission is to support and promote artists, inspire public engagement, and nurture the next generation of creatives. Through initiatives like our annual Spring Art Tour and scholarships for graduating seniors, we bring art to the forefront in Mount Horeb and beyond. Covering a 20-mile radius, we work to make art accessible, visible, and celebrated in our region.

History of MHAAA
In the Summer of 2006, several established Mount Horeb artists gathered to discuss the prospects for creating a Tour event. Interest grew and a new arts organization, the Mount Horeb Area Arts Association, was formed and incorporated in February of 2007.
By word of mouth the list of interested artists grew and the Spring Art Tour, an annual open studios event, was created and launched in June of 2007. This event combines the work of professional artists against the backdrop of the Driftless region of western Dane County. The inaugural launching of the Tour was a huge success and enthusiasm for the event continues to grow.
