The Mount Horeb Area Arts Association (MHAAA) brings artists, art lovers, and our communities together through creativity.
Founded in 2007, MHAAA is a nonprofit charitable and educational organization dedicated to promoting, supporting, and advancing the arts throughout the greater Mount Horeb and western Dane County region.
We believe the arts make our communities more vibrant, connected, and interesting places to live. Through exhibitions, events, education, outreach, and artist opportunities, MHAAA creates connections between the people who make art and the people who experience it.

MHAAA grew from a shared belief that the remarkable artists living and working throughout our region deserved greater visibility, connection, and opportunity.
Today, our community includes artists working across a wide range of media and creative disciplines, along with arts supporters and community partners who understand the value of a thriving local arts culture.
Our home in Wisconsin’s Driftless region is an important part of that story. Its rolling landscapes, farms, villages, studios, and creative communities provide both inspiration and a distinctive setting for experiencing the arts.

MHAAA provides artists with opportunities to exhibit their work, reach new audiences, collaborate with fellow creatives, develop professionally, and participate in regional arts events.
Support the Next Generation
Creativity has a future here. Through our annual scholarship program, MHAAA supports area high school seniors pursuing post-secondary education in the arts and encourages young people to continue developing their creative voices.
Build Creative Partnerships
We collaborate with local organizations, businesses, cultural institutions, and community partners to expand access to the arts and create new opportunities for artists and audiences throughout the region.

20 Years of the Spring Art Tour
Open Studios. Open Roads. Endless Creativity.
In May 2027, the Spring Art Tour celebrates its 20th anniversary—two decades of opening studio doors and inviting visitors to discover the extraordinary creativity found throughout our region.
The free, self-guided tour takes visitors along the back roads, through small communities, and into the working studios of area artists. Meet the artists, see where their work is created, watch demonstrations, learn about their processes, and discover original art along the way.
Part art experience and part countryside adventure, the Spring Art Tour has become a celebration of creativity, place, and the connections that happen when artists welcome the public into their world.
The 20th Anniversary Spring Art Tour takes place May 14–16, 2027, with special anniversary experiences planned throughout the weekend.
