Kari Morrison
Photography, Encaustics, Watercolor, Oil Paintings, and Photographs
#2 on the tour map.
My art studio is upstairs in a ‘bonus’ room above my garage. I envision having artwork on display in our open concept living room/dining room/ screen porch. People will be welcome to visit my studio space, but I could also have my demos on my porch to make accessibility easier.
About Kari and her art:
Kari Morrison is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in Art Education and French. She currently lives with her husband in rural New Glarus where she spends her time caring for their three children, animals, and large swaths of colorful flowers. In her free time, you can find her at the pool or on the water in Door County. Her artwork is inspired by the awesome beauty that surrounds her. Kari has a passion for photography and is constantly taking pictures. She incorporates many of her photos in her encaustic work and uses them as references for watercolor and oil paintings. She is drawn to bold colors, interesting compositions, and the fluidity of paint.
