MHAAA Art Scholarship Award

Annual fundraising is done through the sponsorship, quarterly sales, and other fundraising events. Receipts from these sales provide a $500 Student Art Scholarship to help high school seniors pay for higher education to pursue a career in the arts, as well as to help fund the Spring Art Tour. Rah (Sarah) Gerg is a 19 year old Class of 2020 Mount Horeb High School graduate artist currently completing her first year at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence. Next year, she will major in the Painting department, working toward a BFA. There, she will work larger and more experimentally than ever, but maintain her love of drawing, color, and material exploration.
